Mmmm....coffee

So my love for coffee is still going strong. Currently my favorites are still Green Mountain Breakfast blend and Golden French Toast. My mom passed along some leftovers from their Holiday Pack including The Christmas blend and the winter blend which I really enjoy.

I often wonder now what life would have been like had I known about the joys of coffee back when I was a student. I used to spend many hours in the late night and early morning in the fine art studio at UW. Why didn't anyone tell me it would be so much more enjoyable if I just had a glorious cup of coffee!!

This weeks cups

I'm totally loving my keurig coffee maker. I brew my coffee into my super awesome Contigo travel mugs and my coffee stays nice and hot till I get to work.

I'm starting to get low on my mix of k-cups but I think I've determined a few that I really like (or dislike).

When I first started I was really loving the flavoured coffees. This weeks flavours did not thrill me.

Gloria Jeans Mudslide - I did not really enjoy the flavour. I've never had a real mudslide so I guess I wasn't sure what to expect.

Green Mountain Spicy Eggnog - again I don't think I've ever had eggnog but the other holiday cups so far have been delish. This one was pretty bland. The coffee seemed almost weak.

Donut house Cinnamon Roll - I did not like this one as much as the Pumpkin Spice by Green Mountain.

Timothy's Winter Carnival - loved this. Nice.

Green Mountain Breakfast Blend - loved this too. I think between this one and the Nantucket Blend would be my favorite regular (non-flavoured) coffee.

Van Houtte Holiday Blend - sad story, I left my cup of coffee in the garage the other day when my hubby and I were struggling with our car doors that were iced over. I didn't realize till I got to work.

Coffee House cinnamon roll - sweet and delicate flavour

Green Mountain Coffee Golden French Toast - loved the buttery, maple-toasty-ness of this one!

Green Mountain Coffee caramel vanilla cream

Van Houtte French Vanilla - I have a whole box of this flavour on the way

Dislikes:
Green mountain gingerbread - a little too strong for my liking. I prefer the pumpkin spice and cinnamon type flavours

Timothy's white chocolate mint - I didn't totally hate this one, just not one of my favourites

Another flavour ...

Today was Timothy's irish cream flavoured coffee. It was delish! Tasted just like having real Irish cream in my cup only without the extra buzz :)
Definitely loving all the flavours.

The only coffee I'm not liking so far is the Van Houtte Columbian. I think it is just too strong for me. I even tried adding some vanilla coffee syrup since I generally love that in anything. I just can't get past how strong and bitter it tastes. Thankfully my dad likes it because I had a whole box of 18. I traded for a mix of k-cups in a variety of blends and flavours from my parents stash.

Green Mountain's Pumpkin Spice was my next selection from my new mix of k-cups. I thought this was delicious. Very spicy and reminiscent of Starbucks fall feature.

Chocolate Glazed Donut

I picked out a variety of flavored k cups at ECS Coffee Inc in Burlington, ON. It was $16.99 for 24 and they carry a huge variety!!

Coffee House Chocolate Glazed Donut was the first one I tried from my new mix. I really liked this one. Definitely could taste the chocolatey-ness.

That first cup!

My keurig came with a 12 pack variety of blends to try. The first cup I brewed was Green Mountain Coffee's Nantucket blend. This one is my mother-in-law's favorite so I thought I'd give it a try. With some sugar and a generous amount of milk, I thought this was a great cup of coffee.
